Buying land

If you want to buy land through The Land Society you can Register and then wait until you see land which may be suitable for you in your monthly email list or on our online maps but, if you find something you like, you have to become a Member before you make an offer to purchase.

If you’re keen to find land soon there are advantages to becoming a Member straight away:

- As new land is listed which meets your needs, we’ll email you
- You’ll get priority to visit land for sale
- Access to extra information about the land
- First choice of individual plots based on the longest Membership

Renting Land

You don’t need to be a Member to ask to rent land when available, but if you DO rent land from us you’ll automatically become a Member (and the annual Membership Fee is included in your rent). Also Members will always have priority over non-Members on any rental waiting lists, so you may decide to become a Member to get priority.

So why become a Member straight away?

- Immediate emails as new land is listed
- Priority choice on land for sale or to rent
- Priority choice of the best plot (based on length of membership)
- Voting rights as a full Member

The Land Society is owned by its Members and all profits are reinvested. To become a Member is easy; click here and pay £50 combined Joining Fee and Annual Membership Fee through our secure PayPal connection.

Once you have bought land from the Society you do not need to continue to be a Member. If you rent land from the Society, your continued Membership is part of your rent.
